Pasadena via Compton

So I had the GREAT fortune to go to the Huntington Library in Pasadena yesterday. What was the catch?

I had to chaperon high school students...
*sigh*

Well I was assigned 10 students.  Couldn't be that bad right?  Well I figured I would give them the "W" folk chat...
"So we are going to be around the "W" folk today, please don't act stupid.  They are already going to have their eyes on us because we are black and hispanic"...
"Can you say that"...
"Thats what Im talking about, be quiet!"

The situation was just like a movie. The "inner city" school gets off the bus and then the white school pulls up in the Luxury bus with TV...

I believe that black/ hispanic kids need to get out of the ghetto.  They need to experience other things and cultures so they can know that there is more to life than ghetto mentality.

But o no... They have to bring that ghetto mentality with them.
I had to pull kids by their collars.  I had to tell them to be quiet every 2 minutes.  I had to talk to them like I was their mama.

The Japanese gardens will never be the same again.  They were screaming and cursing, interupting the "meditative peace of a Japanese garden.

One kid says to me,
"Im getting nervous, I ain't never been this far in the middle of nowhere from Compton"...

*sigh*  Black kids need to do better.  You want to be so hard, and so gangsta but you are scared of a squirrel or something different. smh.

I had a blast though since I was surrounded with kids I made them be my photographer for the day.

My parents bought me a bike for Christmas.  I asked for it, but I didn't they would get it. I love my parents.

Usually Im to lazy to go walk anywhere but now I have my own wheels.  For some reason I never learned how to drive and now I have some freedom.  Bernie you are HAWT!

Raspberry Beret...

So what I don't like about the new year is people thinking,
"O this is going to be sooo different."
"This is going to be a new start.''
"Things are going to change for the better"....

:|

Hellllooooo! Just because the date change doesn't mean you change. You are still the same fuck up with the same fucked up jobs as 2 days ago.

With that said this is my blog.

I have a lot of randomness in my life and today I want to talk about the actual "Raspberry Beret" I found today. (Yes at a second hand store).

Its nothing like a well fit beret. I see this now that I have found one. Perfect color and perfect fit. I finally hit up the vintage district on 4th.

What is with pretentious assholes? Like I get it, you shop at thrift stores, you are edgy. Chillax bro!

Anywho "The Vintage Collective is a gorgeous thrift store. Its set up is sooo cute. It like you are walking through someones studio flat in any year ranging from 1930 to 1970. Im walking into this french bedroom type of deal and I see this beret. It matches my freakin' lipstick. Im broke! What do I do?

This thrift store takes credit. SWEET!

What a fuckin' find. I had a good day. And I need to finish watching "Castle"... Nighty Night.
